How do I make bedrisers to attach to a metal bed frame?
My daughters room is quite small and I need extra space. The bed risers I have bought are not high enough or safe. I need to get my daughters twin bed about 15 inches minimum off the ground, in order to store toys underneath. How do I make bed risers to do this, with casters on the bottom to move the bed for ease of making it?
I would go to the store and buy a angle iron and cut it to the height you want. You will need 4 pieces. I would then drill 4 holes in each of the pieces and run two nuts and bolts into each exising leg. I would then take a piece of 2×4 to the bottom of the existing bed with the extension and bolt the 2×4 with 2 bolts as well. This will give you a solid and safe bedriser.
