Matching power inverters to run my PC?
I have a PC with a power supply that works for both US 110Vs and 220V. The current rating is 2A/4A and frequency 50/60Hz. I want to hook up a bank of lead acid batteries to power my PC. In between them I require an inverter. What specifications of the inverter and batteries will I need to achieve this successfully ?
Any inverter designed to run from a car battery which gives the current output you require should work. Connect the batteries in parallel for longer usage time. If you can get hold of a socket and battery connector from auto-parts supplier it would make connecting a single battery easy. Or did you mean you want to run your PC from your car anyway?
