Anyone Work On Or For Dodge?
We have a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan ES what is a Body Control Module (BCM)? Do they go bad offten? The reason i ask is because our van has automatic lights and they don’t work. We have gone to the dealer many times and they keep doing some software update to the computer (we also had previous problems with the keyless entry). So we called the phone number for the three year extended warenty. They said it might be the BCM. Is that a load of crap? Anyone had problems with these? HELP! What is a BCM? Any answers helpful…
The BCM is the computer that controls the bodily functions of the vehicle. Door locks, seat belt reminders, keyless entry and other things are controlled by the BCM. It even keeps the mileage info. Replacing the BCM may fix your problems, it is located under the dash on the drivers side, next to the fuse panel. When you order it, make sure they note the correct mileage. It will make your odometer read whatever is in the BCM.
