question about my baby’s heartbeat?
so i just found out i was pregnant. they did an ultrasound last week but said it was too early to see anything. i have one of those fetal monitors from the hospital. they gave it to me for my last pregnancy (even the gel). i decided to see if i hear anything. i hear a faint heartbeat around my bladder area and it goes away when i move it higher. the monitor only reads like 94-101. could it be my babys or is it just my heartbeat traveling???
they said im pretty early. maybe only a couple weeks but they cant be sure yet. i heard it from an ER doctor though not my OB. i have an ultrasound for next week. the heartbeat i hear is not very strong though so could it just not be reading it right??
but thats the thing. it does sound like a loud thumping sound. just kinda faint. i think its cuz the device is low and i suffer from hearing loss. but it sounds like a clapping sound or like a horse galloping.
That’s a low bpm for a fetal heart rate. I’m not sure how many weeks you are but it may be too early to pick up the baby’s heart rate.
That’s probably your heart beat. If it sounds kinda like it in the background I would say it’s yours. The fetal heart beat makes a loud distinctive thumping noise.
