What would be a good inexpensive vehicle to use driving across america?
Me and a few friends are going to america next summer and intend to drive down the east coast, then up to chicago and finish by doing route 66. At the moment we are thinking of buying either a Ford E series van or a Chevrolet Express because they are cheap and seem ok. Do either of these vans have a better reputation in the states or is their another van that you would recommend?
Volkswagen camper van.
Also take a a good quality tent and camping gear with you. Try Army surplus. American military equipment is good.
