I have an old Steelcase office chair and was wondering how I can adjust the height?
There is a big screw on the bottom and a knob or lever of some sort that you can move from left and right. And there is a know to adjust the leaning back part. Any ideas? I tried moving it around and swiveling it clockwise and counterclockwise but nothing happened.
Sounds like a pneumatic lift which has lost it’s charge. If there’s a lever under your right hip when you sit in it, try activating the lever, and pull the chair up from it’s base.
