Where can I get the little metal parts for tap shoes?
I want to turn a pair of shoes I already own into tap shoes. Is that even possible? Where can I get the little metal tappy parts for the shoe? How much do they usually cost?
(In case you haven’t already guessed I know absolutely nothing about tap and it’s shoes)
omg i done this!! because we needed tap shoes and i just bought some taps and stuck them to some shoes, i did them with this pack

which you can pretty much get from anywhere, if you dont want to pay to much then go on amazon or ebay, but this pack is sold in any book store, i bought mine for about £6-8 i think, or you could just go to a dance shop or go on a dance website and have a look at prices. or another thing is why not just get a pair of second hand tap shoes, which is somthing i have done to. i bought mine off ebay and paid about £4 for them, and they where only used a few times in a show! and theres loads more like that on ebay and amazon, just have a look =] hope this helps x
oh and by the way in that pack thing you get a book explaining tap and explaining beginners tap moves in it which is really easy to follow and to learn from, and you also get all the equipment to attatch the taps to ordinary shoes
