Can you help decorate a bathroom?
It’s a very small room (10′ x 5′ 6″) the stand up shower and toilet are on the far wall (34″ shower, 32″ toilet), a pedestal sink is to the left of the door upon entrance. Wainscotting surrounds the room a little higher than your standard chair rail. The adjacent room (my kitchen) has wainscotting chair rail high painted Sherman Williams (SW) Library Pewter, the upper wall (SW) Heron Plume. Should I keep the same colors? I’m afrain of the dark color because of the size of the room. I thought about white for the wainscotting and (SW) rainwashed for the upperwall. Check out their website and tell me what you think: http://www.sherwin-williams.com/do_it_yourself/ Also, what about decor? I have an awesome seashell collection I could use, but I’m open for other idea’s. Please dig deep into your artistic minds and help me make it a really nice room.
I looked at your colors. They are very neutral colors. The Rainwashed is a very nice color. I would try to find a color that is simular to the Library Pewter, but lighter – and put that on the wainscotting. I would then proceed to put that beautiful Rainwashed on the walls. It will be a very peaceful color and a wonderful backdrop for your seashells. A wonderful way to display the seashells would be to get a shadow box, fill it partway with sand and layer some seashells in it. I wouldn’t go overboard with the seashells (like having them in the shower curatin, or continue them in any way in the accessories) instead I would pull the colors from them and use that for my accents pieces – whether they are just towels or whatever.
