Old Desk Chair Casters?
Our desk chair that we`ve had for several years now its had one of its wheels split in half so that the chair will not stand properly. So since the chair is still in good condition we decided to just pay $20 for 4 new casters. Problem is the old casters are quite difficult to get off. We`ve tried unscrewing them but that doesn`t seem to work. Is there another way to pry them off without damaging the chair?
Often they are in a socket that his held by friction. Pry them out. I use a painter’s pry tool, but a stiff putty knife may work for you. Also a shot of oil or WD40 may help.
