Will caster problem with car make steering wheel shake?
There are several reasons for a steering wheel to shake. Could be your tire is out of balance, the rim may be bent some, or worn parts like maybe a tie rod end. You might also check your tire to make sure it isn’t separating or make sure the tire does not have a knot on it somewhere. Worn shocks might also cause a shake as well. Caster being out will cause the tire to ware. I don’t think the caster would cause the steering wheel to shake just by itself. Your best bet is to take your car to a local shop and have it checked out to see what is causing the shaking. Before you drive the car again, you should check the tire over real good to make sure you don’t see a large knot on the tire anywhere. If you do indeed see a knot you should change the tire before you drive it because it could blow out and cause an accident. You could go ahead and change the tire and put your spare on and see if that takes the shake out of the steering wheel. If it does remove the shake then you know it is either the tire out of balance, bad tire, bent rim, or worn parts. It may just be you lost a weight off the rim and it is just out of balance.
