Do I have to lower the floor in a mini van for a power wheelchair?
I am going to have to buy a van for my husband who needs to have a power wheelchair. I’m not sure if I need to buy a van thats already wheelchair accessible(which is more expensive) or if I can just buy a regular min van and buy the ramps for him to get in. I’m just not sure if the height is high enough for him to drive into the van? The wheelchair looks like one of those hover rounds chairs.
If he can walk a little there are liftes that can be put in the back you use the back door.If not you will need to get a conversion van Fr more head room they also make liftes for side doors.
