car/motorcycle battery vs. multiple normal batteries?
i am attempting to power a 24v wheelchair motor and was wondering if there would be any difference between powering it with 2X12v car/motorcycle batteries or using say 2X9v(18v) and 4XAA(6v) hooked in a series?
with something like an electric wheelchair it would be best to use a deep cycle battery much like what is used in boats. It allows the operation of the vehicle to last longer before going too flat and to cease working. They are designed to be run for longer without receiving a charge from an alternator or charging source
Car and motorcycle batteries are designed to be constantly charged while the vehicles are operating because they have alternators to keep the batteries charged while in use
